Project management in healthcare encompasses planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects. This can lead to improving efficiencies, cost savings and implementation of strategic policies and procedures. As stated in Sipes (2025), project management is a process of coordinating team members that will use skills to design, plan, apply, monitor and close a desired project for their organization. Design, planning, implementation, regulating and concluding will be the key elements of my project management assignment. The design phase defines the objectives and scope of the project. This phase also identifies the stakeholders and the setting of the budget. The planning stage defines each stage of the project as well as assigning responsibilities and deadlines. The implementation phase will execute the project into the nursing practice. During this phase, there will be monitoring and controlling processes. The project manager is responsible for establishing efficient workflows and carefully monitoring the progress of the team (Swaidi,  2023). The evaluation phase gives the project manager and the team the ability to make corrections that is needed to conclude the project. Concluding the project and showing results are the last stages of the project.The article by Rew et al., (2020), used a team based approach for the project. The focus of the article was team collaboration. Project teams are made up of individuals with different skill sets to achieve the goals of the project. Project managers should strive to create teams with diverse competencies that will have the potential to achieve better results and apply more solutions (Wawak, 2024). Teamwork, communication and shared responsibilities lead to a successful project outcome.
