CRITERIA POINTS Introduction to the paper: 15 A. Succinct, informative and gains reader’s interest in the topic. (2) B. Introduction is clear and logical and written in scholarly English (2) C. Problem, Purpose are stated. Significance to the nursing profession is analyzed. (5)

D. Research questions and hypotheses are analyzed (2) E. The IV and DV are clearly stated and analyzed (2) F. A Theoretical or conceptual framework is presented (2)

Section Total Review and critical analysis of literature on the topic 15

A. Literature review is analyzed for its value to the project. (4) B. Organized and synthesized around topic or practice situation being studied. (3)

C. Indicates the need for the study and strength of evidence from previous research. (3)

D. Articles are relevant to the research, the theoretical/conceptual framework, and include predominantly primary sources. (5)

3. The following program policy applies

Written Assignments and Final Project: a. Are to be submitted by the due date and time. b. Students failing to meet the deadline will receive an automatic 50% reduction on their paper

before actual grading. If the student fails to submit within the next 24 hours, a grade of “0” will be assigned.

c. It is the student’s responsibility to recognize their failure to submit and notify the instructor or academic coach within the 24-hour time frame. Contact should be made via email for further instructions. (This is not for routine use. It is only for late assignments.)

D. Assignments posted to the work academic coach or wrong site will be deducted 10 points prior to grading.
