ASSIGMENT 5

Choose a professional nursing organization that relates to the nursing profession or your clinical practice area. Assuming that you are the chairperson of membership for the organization, create a full-page flyer designed to recruit new members to the professional organization. In your flyer, include:

1. The function of the organization, as well as its mission and vision.

1. Potential advantages of membership in the organization.

1. Provide resource information for new members, including contact information, membership requirements, and organizational endorsements (i.e., what other members or other organizations are saying about the selected organization).

1. Create a topic for an upcoming meeting that would appeal to your target audience.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the criteria and expectations for successful completion.

Very Import for Students:

The Flyer assignment is also due this week. Most students make the flyer in Word and convert it to a PDF format. Both Word or PDF work fine!  Remember to use the grading rubric so you include all components and to cite any sources used!  Cite graphics and text right on the flyer and include references. References do not need to be double spaced.  Many people simply put them on the bottom in small print or add an extra page to the flyer.
