Family Health Promotion.

1) Explain the role of health education in health promotion. How is the nursing process used in developing health education? Describe a contemporary issue, local or global, that a family may experience today. What steps would the nurse take to address these as part of a health education plan?

2) What characteristics would lead a provider to suspect domestic violence, child abuse, or elder abuse is taking place within a family? Discuss your facility’s procedure for reporting these types of abuse.

As your EBP skills grow, you may be called upon to share your expertise with others. While EBP practice is often conducted with unique outcomes in mind, EBP practitioners who share their results can both add to the general body of knowledge and serve as an advocate for the application of EBP.

In this Discussion, you will explore strategies for disseminating EBP within your organization, community, or industry. 

To Prepare:

• Review the Resources and reflect on the various strategies presented throughout the course that may be helpful in disseminating effective and widely cited EBP.
  • This may include unit-level or organizational-level presentations, poster presentations, and podium presentations at organizational, local, regional, state, and national levels, as well as publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Reflect on which type of dissemination strategy you might use to communicate EBP.

Identify two dissemination strategies you would be most inclined to use and explain why. Explain which dissemination strategies you would be least inclined to use and explain why. Identify at least two barriers you might encounter when using the dissemination strategies you are most inclined to use. Be specific and provide examples. Explain how you might overcome the barriers you identified.

  An important role of nursing is to provide health promotion and disease prevention. Review the topic “Diabetes type 2 prevention in adults” and related objectives provided on the Healthy People 2030 website Create a minimum of 5 slide PowerPoint presentation for your topic and focus group. Include speaker notes and citations for each slide, and create a slide at the end for References.

1. Describe      the approved topic and associated population your group has selected.      Discuss how this topic adversely affects the population. How does health      disparity affect this population?

  2.  Explain evidence-based approaches that can optimize health for this population. How do these approaches minimize health disparity among affected populations?

Discuss the aspects of your chosen vulnerable population.

 Discuss the reason why is this group considered vulnerable.

Discuss what are the most common communicable diseases in this population, and why. 

 Discuss barriers to healthcare and access to care for your vulnerable population.

 Discuss how the issues this group is facing relates to the community/public health nursing.

 Examine evidence-based practices that improve health outcomes of the vulnerable population.

Use information technology to identify resources that will improve health outcomes of the vulnerable population.
