According to Kant’s first premise Patrick behaved moral because he returned the victim he was hired to find and without condition this is the “right” conduct for any detective in cases of kidnapping (the “First Maxim”). Here Kant speaks of doing the right prior to good.2. On Kant’s second premise Patrick acted moral because he respected the dignity of Amanda and he treated her as an end in herself and not as means to an end like everyone else was doing in the film (the “Second Maxim”). Here Kant speaks of humans as special creatures and ends in themselves. Humans are ends, not means to an end. Los seres humanos son un fin, no un medio para un fin.3. The conclusion is that a detective act morally when he reports a kidnapping to the police and this behavior should establish a universal law governing all detectives in cases of kidnapping (the “Third Maxim”). Here Kant asks us to test the universality of our action. Will it be OK if everyone does what I am about to do?(You will apply Kant’s 3 premises and Sandel’s 3 contrasts to what the detective does at the very end of the film which is call the police and report the kidnapping. It should not be difficult but you must see the videos first and see what Kant moral philosophy is all about)Kant’s Categorical ImperativeNature of the conceptThe concept of the categorical imperative is a syllogism1.The first premise is that apersonacts morally if his or herconductwould, without condition, be the “right” conduct for any person in similarcircumstances(the “First Maxim”).2.The second premise is thatconductis “right” if it treats others as ends in themselves and not as means to an end (the “Second Maxim”).3.The conclusion is that apersonacts morally when he or sheactsas if his or herconductwas establishing a universal law governingothersin similarcircumstances(the “Third Maxim”).4 years ago11.06.202130Report issueAnswer(2)Dr Michelle Maya5.0(2k+)5.0(166)ChatPurchase the answer to view itNOT RATEDEthic-Kants3PremisesAndMichaelSandels.docx4 years agoplagiarism checkPurchase $30FAST ANSWERS_PHD5.0(11)(Not rated)ChatPurchase the answer to view itNOT RATEDEthic-Kants3PremisesAndMichaelSandels.docx3 years agoplagiarism checkPurchase $5Bids(119)Emily ClareDr Michelle MayaDr. Adeline ZoeQuickly answerTutor Cyrus KenCreative GeekgrA+de plusMUSYOKIONES A+WIZARD_KIMQuality AssignmentsProf SapolskySynco_SolutionsNightingaleGreat-WritersAmanda Smithpacesetters2121RihAN_MendozaBrainy BrianDr shamille Clarawizard kimother Questions(10)Discussion Question Please respond to the intial and classmate postenglish assignmentfinanaceHelp testingrewrite music and personalityUnitedMichael SmithPower point presentation “effects of mobile communication on human interaction”Project Task List and Schedulequestion 1 and 3 only due four hours only

Week 4 Case Study: Natural Killer Cell Deficiency

Scenario/Summary

Shanice was a vibrant 16-year-old who was enjoying her high school years. As a good student, she loved attending school and woke every morning eager to start the day. A popular girl, she was surrounded by many friends who all enjoyed each other’s company.

From an early age, Shanice had been susceptible to recurrent viral and bacterial infections. No matter what she tried, she tended to have numerous infections every year which put a damper on some of her social activities.

Recently, she had been experiencing recurrent lung infections, spending a week in the hospital with pneumonia and recurrent herpes viral infections. Concerned over these recurrent infections, Shanice was sent to an immunologist for further consultation.

Tests were performed to evaluate the number and activities of her B-cells, T-cells, and natural killer cells. Results showed that Shanice had low numbers and decreased activity of her natural killer cells.

Keep in mind that natural killer cells are part of the innate immune response.

Deliverables

Answer the following questions and save your responses in a Microsoft Word document. Provide a scholarly resource to support your answers.

  1. Why are natural killer cells considered to be part of the innate immune response?
  2. What types of cells do natural killer cells act against?

  4. The Immunologist cautioned Shanice that she may be more susceptible to virally induced cancers. Why did the Immunologist state this?

Nursing homework help

As a new nurse you are assigned to work with a preceptor in the Emergency Department. It is a very busy day and it seems as if every patient, regardless of chief complaint, has an issue with fluid, electrolyte, and/or acid-base balance. The first patient you see is a 37-year-old landscaper who is brought to the ED after collapsing on a job at the local country club. He is slightly confused but is able to tell you he feels dizzy and weak. His skin is flushed, dry, and with poor turgor. He has dry, sticky mucous membranes. The nurse identifies a nursing diagnosis of deficient fluid volume.

1. Describe how each of the following would change and the rationale for the change in the presence of

deficient fluid volume:

• Heart rate

• Blood pressure

• Serum hematocrit

• Urinary output

• Urine specific gravity

• Weight

2. What is usually the first indicator that an individual needs more fluids?

3. The ED physician orders IV fluids for this patient. What types of fluids are indicated for a fluid     volume deficit due to dehydration?

4. The fluid order is to start 1000 mL of fluid as ordered at 150 mL/hr. The infusion tubing has a drop factor of 15 gtt/mL. This infusion will run by gravity rather than an infusion pump. How many drops per minute should you time the infusion at to ensure the correct hourly rate?

5. The patient has a “full sleeve” tattoo on both arms. Discuss the implications of this finding and how you will initiate the intravenous site.

6. You have difficulty finding a vein in the presence of the deficient fluid volume.  List 3 strategies that you can use to help make a vein more visible/palpable?

7. Considering the diagnosis, patient presentation, and fluid orders, what size catheter is indicated in this situation? Give a rationale for your choice.

8. After 30 minutes of the infusion, the patient states, “My arm where the needle is feels funny.” What should you do first? What further data do you need from the patient?

Several hours later the patient is feeling better and is now oriented × 3. The ED physician wants the patient to be drinking oral fluids without difficulty prior to being discharged from the ED.

9. List 3 strategies to increase fluid intake that are most appropriate to this setting.

10. The patient is discharged after adequate hydration. Discharge teaching includes ways to prevent this from happening again on the job. What key points should the nurse include in the teaching applicable to the job site?

Address the following Short Answer prompts for your Assignment. Be sure to include references to the Learning Resources for this week.

  1. In 4 or 5 sentences, describe the anatomy of the basic unit of the nervous system, the neuron.
