Purpose

The purpose of the graded collaborative discussions is to engage faculty and students in an interactive dialogue to assist the student in organizing, integrating, applying, and critically appraising knowledge regarding advanced nursing practice. Scholarly information obtained from credible sources as well as professional communication are required. Application of information to professional experiences promotes the analysis and use of principles, knowledge, and information learned and related to real-life professional situations. Meaningful dialogue among faculty and students fosters the development of a learning community as ideas, perspectives, and knowledge are shared.

Discussion Criteria

1. Application of Course Knowledge: The student post contributes unique perspectives or insights gleaned from personal experience or examples from the healthcare field. The student must accurately and fully discuss the topic for the week in addition to providing personal or professional The student must completely answer the entire initial question.
2. Integration of Evidence: The student post provides support from a minimum of two in-text citations with matching references. Sources may be course lessons, assigned readings, or outside scholarly sources.

Expectations

Initial Post:

 Discussion Question:

Explain the difference between internal and external evidence. How can each of these types of evidence be utilized for quality improvement in the clinical setting?

Your initial posting should be at least 400 words in length and utilize at least one scholarly source other than the textbook

Module 2: Assignment N493

1. Discuss      aspects of a health concern not being addressed despite the efforts of      services and partnerships involved and describe the ultimate outcome(s) or      goal(s) from Healthy People 2020 relating to that      specific health concern-This will be the health topic you have chosen      to present for your project. Remember that every module of the class      revolves around the health topic you have chosen to teach about. Some but      not all of the healthypeople info will be useable for your topic, just      choose what items will intertwine with your topic. 

Answer the following questions to assist in data interpretation: (remember never to copy or paste classroom questions into your assignment-create APA style headings for your assignment,  in place of the questions below)

• What similarities      are apparent between the data that were gathered and the data that      were generated?
• What      differences are apparent between the data that were gathered and the data      that were generated?
• What      are the weakness and strengths of this community?
• In      what areas is improvement needed in this community?

The assignment should be written in an APA-formatted essay. The essay should be between 1500 and 2000 words in length and include at least two scholarly sources other than provided materials. 

Students will:

• Compare experiential family therapy to narrative family therapy
• Justify recommendations for family therapy

To prepare:

• Review this week’s Learning Resources and reflect on the insights they provide on experiential and family therapies.

The Assignment

In a 2- to 3-page paper, address the following: 
 

• Summarize the key points of both experiential family therapy and narrative family therapy. 
• Compare experiential family therapy to narrative family therapy, noting the strengths and weakness of each.
• Provide a description of a family that you think experiential family  therapy would be appropriate, explain why, and justify your response  using the Learning Resources.

Part 2: Family Genogram

Develop a genogram for the client family you  selected. The genogram should extend back at least three generations  (parents, grandparents, and great grandparents).
