The PowerPoint presentation will include the following:

1. Two community nursing diagnoses.

· The two community nursing diagnoses should take into consideration the community’s lines of defense and resistance and stressors.

· Make sure you use the community nursing diagnosis format described on pp. 227-231 of A&M.

· See Chapter 12 of A&M to assist you in developing your community nursing diagnoses.

2. Rank the 2 community nursing diagnoses in order of priority in relation to the Ethical Principles in Health Care, found in Box 5.1 on p. 77 of A&M.

· Include the rationale for your decision in ranking the community nursing diagnoses.

· In other words, why did you make the top community nursing diagnosis the number one priority? Number two? Describe how the Ethical Principles of Health Care guided your decisions.

3. Develop 2 measurable expected outcomes for the top two identified community nursing diagnosis.

· Format your expected outcomes using the format found in Chapter 12 of A&M.

· The measurable expected outcomes should be realistic. You don’t have unlimited resources in community health nursing!

· In other words, as a community health nurse, what would you like to have happen in relation to your community’s top two nursing diagnoses? Remember to make them measurable.

4. Present a minimum of 2 intervention activities or strategies for each of the top 2 measurable outcomes.

· Use evidence to support your decision to use your chosen intervention activities.

· In other words, as a community health nurse, what activities will be needed in order to meet the measurable outcomes?

5. Present 2 evaluation strategies for the proposed intervention activities.

· Use evidence to support your decision to use your chosen evaluation strategies.

· In other words, how would you evaluate if the proposed intervention strategies worked to meet the outcomes you developed?

6. Reflect on the interdependence of clinical and community nursing practice related to the Community-as Partner model.

· In other words, how are community nursing practice and clinical nursing practice interdependent?

· Has the model impacted your professional nursing practice? Why or why not?
