2. Investigative report

 Analysis of files extracted from the infected system’s hard drive. Your analysis

will assess the presence of encryption, malware, and ransomware. Analysis will

identify any information hidden in the files, how you found the hidden data, and

where it was hidden, as well as executable processes.

3. Security assessment and training

 This is the substantive part of the report, where you make recommendations on

processes and procedures the organization can take to prevent future

malware/ransomware incidents. Recommendations will be a comprehensive plan

of action, including specific technical, procedural, and training guidelines to

harden the infrastructure and empower employees with the knowledge to better

protect the systems and data critical to the organization.
