Read  the article by Aiken and associates (Links to an external site.) . She has been exploring the topic of patient safety for a number of years and has been applying her research findings across international boundaries.

1. Consider your topic of interest and the purpose for exploring this topic.

2. What outcomes would you like to see emerge from this?

3. How would you measure these outcomes?

4. Include in your discussion an analysis of how Aiken measured her selected outcomes.

5. Find another research article that pertains to patient safety. Summarize its findings.

6. What impact does ongoing research have on client outcome provide example to support your thoughts?
