Write a 750-1,000 word essay defining the AGACNP role of assessing the health and wellness of a specific patient population. Your essay should include three to five peer-reviewed sources.

A patient population can be a group of patients with the same chronic disease, same ethnicity, from the same community, or any other defined specific group.

Your essay should cover the following:

1. Establish how the specific patient population views chronic diseases and the maintenance of wellness.
2. Explain the cultural factors that may affect the attitudes of patients and families towards health promotion and maintenance.
3. Evaluate how your own personal worldview influences your attitudes and beliefs towards health maintenance of this patient population.
4. Evaluate how cultural bias may result in very different health-related preferences and perceptions.

• For this Project Assignment, think about common trends in health care administration leadership or critical areas of need for leadership in the field.
• Prepare a literature review of scholarly articles related to your topic in health care administration leadership. This review should contain a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed or scholarly resources.
• Based on what you find in the current health care administration leadership literature, create a problem statement. It must address identified gaps while incorporating implications for positive social change.

Literature Review and Problem Statement (5–7 pages):

• The Literature Review section should be written in the narrative form, integrating concepts from the articles you find. The section should include:
  • Synthesis of a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed, scholarly resources that give the reader a good overview of the issue. The section should show the reader common trends in health care administration leadership or critical areas of need for leadership in the field.
  • A description of theoretical gaps in the research area. Based on the research you just did in leadership, what seems to be missing?
• The Problem Statement should include:
  • An explanation of the specific problem that addresses identified gaps within the literature.
  • An explanation of how your problem statement incorporates implications for positive social change. As students at Walden, you are preparing to become agents of social change. Based on your leadership topic, the research you just did, and the gaps you found, how would you be a social agent for change?

• Why is it so difficult to determine which country has the best health system? Describe the empirical issues related to evaluation of the systems as well as possible ways to overcome these difficulties. If you had to choose one, which country do you think has the best health system? Use course concepts to support your answer.
• Is death an enemy that is to be fought off at all costs or is it a condition of life that is to be accepted? How does the way we answer this question affect the kind of healthcare system we might embrace?

Properly identifying the cause and type of a patient’s skin condition involves a process of elimination known as differential diagnosis. Using this process, a health professional can take a given set of physical abnormalities, vital signs, health assessment findings, and patient descriptions of symptoms, and incrementally narrow them down until one diagnosis is determined as the most likely cause.

In this Lab Assignment, you will examine several visual representations of various skin conditions, describe your observations, and use the techniques of differential diagnosis to determine the most likely condition.

· Review the Skin Conditions document provided in this week’s Learning Resources, and select one condition to closely examine for this Lab Assignment.

· Consider the abnormal physical characteristics you observe in the graphic you selected. How would you describe the characteristics using clinical terminologies?

· Explore different conditions that could be the cause of the skin abnormalities in the graphics you selected.

· Consider which of the conditions is most likely to be the correct diagnosis, and why.

· Search the Walden library for one evidence-based practice, peer-reviewed article based on the skin condition you chose for this Lab Assignment.

· Review the Comprehensive SOAP Exemplar found in this week’s Learning Resources to guide you as you prepare your SOAP note.

· Download the SOAP Template found in this week’s Learning Resources, and use this template to complete this Lab Assignment.

Need to organize your data in this format…..and under “S” you will need to ask your questions…but obviously your patient cannot answer you.  So….under “S”….list all of the questions that you would ask the patient from the template list, including Meds, Allergies, ROS, etc…….think about everything that you would need to know and ask to make a clinical decision.  The “O” is what the condition looks like.  This is the objective piece of the note…..you do not ask the patient questions here, it is just what you observe.    Be specific!!!  Describe the lesion ie:  size, location, characteristics, etc….  think of this as documenting directly in a patient’s chart.  A/P are your list of differentials with rationale on why you chose those diagnosis.  You list them from most likely to least likely.
